Caslon
was instrumental in development of a successful bid for funding of a showcase project
under the Commonwealth's Information Technology Online
(ITOL)
Program.
We provided market analyses, usability testing, promotional
strategies and advice on technical issues such as intellectual
property licensing and compliance with UDDI and other
standards.
Caslon also provided a leading 'new economy' company,
based overseas, with assessments and ongoing corporate
intelligence about Australian/regional regulatory issues
and market developments.
The work included provision of reports on specific issues,
interpretation of statistics, forecasting of commercial
opportunities and advice on regulatory changes.
Other past projects included a feasibility study and marketing
plan for a client interested in development of a cultural
website for those younger than 15 and work with the Commonwealth
Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT)
on a major project to place a series of scholarly publications
online for an international audience.
The latter project included advice about usability, reports
on overseas models and emerging standards such as TEI,
and consultation with a range of stakeholders.
online and offline training
Caslon personnel also lecture to overseas government and
industry delegations on an ongoing basis. We have also
provided in-depth analysis and training offshore for overseas
clients.
As part of that activity we have advised a local client
on the development and maintenance of an online training
package for markets in Asia, Eastern Europe and other
locales.
The project included acquisition and management of specialist
electronic publishing contractors, with establishment
of a 'secure' website and creation of a CD-ROM product
for users with poor connectivity.
